What exercise do you do to keep in shape?

I do just about everything – I really like to mix it up. There is no class I wouldn’t try. I am really happy that the gyms are back open and I am able to lift weights again. I have booked in to do Pilates in the studio and am excited to be with other people and interested to see whether I have been doing it right at home while the gyms were closed. During the lockdowns I did live online HIIT, Pilates and boxing sessions. I have a smartwatch which tells me whether I am meeting my exercise targets, and my sister and I would often have danced around the living room to make sure we are active enough. I got into running outside during lockdown which I really loved.

What sort of foods do you eat to stay healthy?

I was lucky enough to have a really balanced diet with three meals a day when I was growing up, so I have good habits that way. There is nothing I wouldn’t eat and I love a colourful plate and to get my fruit and vegetables in.

For breakfast I might have coffee and porridge, for lunch it is usually a salad with some form of protein or a brunch style dish. For dinner I would eat meat or fish, a variety of vegetables and some carbohydrates.

I am not a big snacker because I eat so well, and normally feel satisfied from the nutrients in my three main meals, but if I have been exercising a lot, I might have a rice cake with peanut butter or some fruit and honey. I love berries, and pineapple and mango in the summer. I like drinking orange juice, but not too much as I have to look after my teeth too!

Do you take any supplements?

I have been taking Cleanmarine for Women for about eight months and have really noticed a difference. It is designed for women aged 15-40 and gives me what I need to maintain hormone balance in just two capsules a day. I’ve learned a lot recently about how hormones can impact your mood, skin and energy levels, so looking after my hormone health has been important to me. Cleanmarine For Women contains vitamin B6, which contributes to the regulation of hormonal activity and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue; and vitamin B2 which contributes to the maintenance of normal skin.

Do you visit health stores?

I love health stores – I go in to buy organic foods and pick up magazines like Rude Health. I like to educate myself about healthy foods and products. I look for clean ingredients with recyclable and compostable packaging, and health stores are good for selling these kind of products. I like beauty products with rosewater and tea tree oil. I buy peppermint tea and would put relaxing essential oils on my wrist or in a diffuser which makes me feel like I am in a spa.

Do you have any tips for Rude Health readers?

  • Try to have a balance and stay active – have everything in your life in moderation.
  • Do something active that you enjoy, and that keeps your body moving.
  • Pay attention to how you are feeling – your body may need nutrients that you don’t realise.
