Energy-boosting – Pea...fect! Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 handfuls of frozen petit pois
  • 2 handfuls of mint leaves
  • 2 handfuls of kale, stalks discarded, leaves shredded
  • 300 ml coconut water
  • ½ tsp virgin coconut oil
  • ½–1 tsp chlorella powder

Method

Put the petit pois, mint, kale, coconut water, coconut oil and chlorella in a blender and blend until smooth. Add extra coconut water if too thick.

Chlorella is a nutrient-rich green algae that helps to detoxify, cleanse, alkalise and protect the body, boosting energy levels as well as vitality.

An energy-giving combination of fibre, protein and carbs, peas also contain an assortment of health-protecting phytonutrients particularly saponins, which have been found to boost the immune system, reduce harmful LDL cholesterol and help to eliminate toxins.
